That’s Entertainment Tasting Notes
Aromas of white pepper and exotic spice on the nose are followed by flavors of black raspberry and hints of mocha. The wine is big and plush with a luscious mouth feel, but has enough acidity to give it structure and a nice lively balance. Fine grained tannins lend texture, and notes of clove and blackberry linger on the finish. This wine will drink well young but definitely has the potential to go the long haul.
82% Petite Sirah and 18% Cabernet
The Petite Sirah comes from the Rudd vineyard on Spring Mountain.
The Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Muna Sultan Vineyard on a knoll top site in Eastern Napa.

The Great Escape – 2019 – Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
The Bomb Cabernet Sauvignon is from the Coombsville AVA in Napa Valley know for it’s cooler climate and volcanic soils that display darker tones of fruit and earthy accents. This wine is 100% Cab and was aged in 100% new French Oak for 27 months.
The aromas are forward, complex and intricate with currant, black raspberry, licorice, graphite, and ripe plum bursting from the glass. The mid palate is big and juicy with the Coombsville expressions of cassis, anise, saddle leather, rhubarb, and black cherries. The mouthfeel is explosive and rich lingering with layers of velvety tannins, mixed berries, brown sugar, vanilla, and crisp acidity that lasts.
Sin Toro – 2019 – Napa Grenache
This wine is from vines planted in 2011 using the very old clone #515 grafted to the tried and true St. George rootstock. The vineyard is in the heart of Napa Valley in the Rutherford AVA. The plants are head trained and dry farmed much like they are in the Southern Rhone.
The aromas are ripe and rich with strawberry, fennel, plum, and cranberry, and a hint of spice. Old world flavors fill the mid palate with layers of black cherry, tobacco, sweet leather, cassis, and a note of minerality. The finish is long and clean with bright red raspberry and cherry held together with luscious tannins that are a bit dusty and not so polished. This rustic finish is very typical of Grenache from around the world.
